Founder and Executive Director
Art Intimacy was created from my personal experiences as a youth who grew up in poverty. Fortunately, I still had access to the arts and was empowered through literacy from an early age. Unfortunately today, many students, regardless of socioeconomic status, have limited access to quality arts programming. As a result, an equitable education is almost completely out of reach. When external factors influence a student's educational experience, creative tools are necessary to ensure their future success. The arts are an effective tool to ensure all students learn. Our organization curates quality (creative, collaborative, and culturally relevant) arts experiences to promote the mental and educational health of youth participants. We stand in the gap for families, schools, and organizations that are filled with students who deserve an equitable education, inclusive of the arts.
